Christmas Design
It’s Christmas time again. ![]()
Have you done your Xmas deco yet? If you’re after the designer look, this is what this year’s look is all about:![]()
The keywords are opulence and decadence. Black is the dominant colour paired with ivory, red, silver, gold, bronze or pink (the trendiest of all). Luxurious materials define the look - feathers, silk, velvet, lace - are combined with shiny and transparent surfaces of glass, crystal, mirror & perspex..
Ornaments are oversized - huge baubles, large feathers & fans, silk, glass or optic fibre twigs are hung from the ceiling or are displayed as focal points. The Christmas tree is a minimalist, white or black, feather tree - or a bare optic fibre twig tree.![]()
Large candelabra (antique, glass or crystal) are used on the dining table and sideboards to provide soft lighting. Tableware is coloured glass - black is the most chic placed on a double layer of silk covered by lace tablecloth (pink & black or ivory & black).
Baubles, wreaths and garlands also ooze glamour - they are made of feather, silk or glass drops. Presents are wrapped with lace or silk (black, ivory or pink) and velvet ribbons.
Hidden rope lights (under sofas, shelves and cabinets) provide subtle lighting during evenings or twinkle during parties.
These are best shops to buy all the accessories:
Habitat
Paperchase
Heals
Bombay duck

Have a very happy Christmas! ![]()

I am looking for fibre optic twigs which I can see on the www.argos.co.uk site, but they do not ship to Canada.
Do you have such a product that can be shipped to Vancouver BC Canada?

Most home & DIY stores seem to sell these lights. Some might deliver abroad. Just search on google - remember to use the word “deliver” instead of “shipping”… so search for something like “fibre optic light UK delivery” … or fibre optic stick uk delivery charge… and so on..
I’m sure you’ll find a store that delivers to Canada! Good Luck!
