Fantastic food everytime! I've never been a fan of Indian food, even though it can be tasty it has it always left me in a not so good state immediately aferwards. However, one evening purusing the junk mail for a lazy takeaway ~ I encountered their menu and I thought I'd give thenm a go ~ the bathroom is just down the hall.

I was ever so pleasantly surprised. The food is fresh, colourful and wickedly delicious. I've been working my way through their menu ever since. I intend to visit the resturaunt one day to enjoy the ambiance. I cannot recommend it enough. It's a great find.

Oh, and as for my delicate problem ~ it's not a problem, hurrah! Lol.

This is a really excellent restaurant. I live a few doors up and they are really friendly, the food is the best indian food I have ever had and the place looks great too. A real local asset and food that is worthy of any Indian restaurant in the West End. The Saag Aloo and Bilashi are my two favourite dishes. 10/10! I agere abut 'and the tads mouth too' is good. Brockley has some great places to eat. Meze Mengal is nice too just up on the Lewisham way. And Viva Zapata, the mexican restaurant, and Thailand in New Cross are great too. It looks like a few places are opening near Brockley station too which I should visit.

I agree with you, Jo. In a selfish way I like the fact that the restaurant reviews pay no attention to South East London – if they did, most of the restaurants I’ve discovered over the years would be packed and the quality of the food and service would have suffered. There are many good little places in the area such as Thailand or Meze Mangal or the bohemian Toads Mouth. On the one hand I’d like them to be exposed, because they’re good, on the other hand I’d like to keep them secret so they won’t change into a production line - which, unfortunately, seems to be the norm in London these days.

Delighted you found this local gem. We just got one of our usual take-aways there tonight and the manager noted that he has had some new custom thanks to your blog review. Well done. I'm fed up trying to get it picked up by the london restaurant review websites who seem to pay no attention to anything in the SE London area.
