Halloween
Winter is here again - the weather’s getting greyer and colder, the clock went back to GMT making the shorter-getting days even shorter - and, as a consequence, most of us are getting grumpy, sad and miserable. Before the sparkling Christmas decorations go up and the office parties start, there is not much to cheer us up..
I was just thinking about these gloomy aspects of the late autumn months, when I passed by this house decorated in Halloween spirit.

It made me smile. I was glad to see that some people are having fun and make an effort to decorate their homes and porches to amuse themselves and passers-by.
To be honest Halloween is the perfect opportunity to brighten up our mood by decorating our homes - not just for the kids but for all of us. It is associated with kids at the door for “trick or treat”, yet it could be so much more! It could really bring some funny and entertaining moments into our lives.
You don’t need to spend days or even hours going over the top to create something special. You could easily prepare a themed dinner party and/or decorate your home with pumpkins, candles and a few scary objects. Or just make some bowls of nuts, spices, chocolate pieces and dried fruits for evening snacks and scatter them around your home. When it gets dark, light a few scented candles and treat yourself to some snacks - your dark evenings will instantly become more enjoyable!
If you have kids, you can make scary objects out of household objects, old clothing, nuts and fruits - put these in unusual places and have some fun surprising (even scaring!) your friends and relatives.
Just be creative and have some fun! Happy Halloween!
