Glad I am not alone in thinking that Ikea has lost their marketing edge. Unfortunately the quality is "cheap" since when we went into the store we also saw many people standing in the refund service area. ugh!

This is exactly what I thought when I visited the Dresden,Germany, branch of IKEA in October to get some basic furnitures for my youngest daughter, she started her studies at Dresden university. Somehow the change seems to go through from furniture to textiles and accessoires. It´s always exhausting to go through the shop, but there was at least some pleasure in seeing new things or trendy designs. That seems to be gone.. sad enough.

I have just read this article and I agree they do seem to have lost their sparkle. I went in there recently for some photo frames and had no luck, they were very cheap looking.
